The Galleria at Fort Lauderdale is set for a sweeping phased redevelopment that would transform the roughly 31.5-acre regional mall property near East Sunrise Boulevard and the Intracoastal Waterway into a high-density mixed-use district. In May 2026, the FAA issued "Determination of No Hazard to Air Navigation" status for eight proposed towers labeled B1 through B8, each rising 342 feet above ground level — approximately 30 stories — though various reports indicate the plan could include up to nine towers (two of which are attached and sometimes shown separately). Plans submitted to the City of Fort Lauderdale in August 2025 call for 3,144 rental apartments, including 1,273 workforce housing units proposed under Florida's Live Local Act, a 170-room hotel, office and retail space, restaurants, more than 4,700 parking spaces, and over 1 million square feet of retained and new commercial, retail, restaurant, wellness, and office space. An early retail anchor is confirmed: Wayfair will open its first large-format Florida store here in late 2027, spanning roughly 94,000 square feet across two levels.
